I just started my mash on my first AG and I hit my temp. Exactly, I'm psyched.

Cool, keep us posted on how it goes! I just took a gravity reading and taste test of my first AG today, and it tastes amazing. Thought I messed up on a lot of things, kinda like the first extract batch I made.

Good luck! What kind of beer are you making?
 
I like that thermometer in the mash tun! How did you install that - grommet, sealant of any kind?
 
I brewed a simple pale ale. It's cooling now. For thermometer I drilled a hole and threaded it in it came with a gasket and nut.

I might have screwed up a bit too I hope not though.
