I have a digital Johnson control I use for my lagering fridge but I'd like to use it as an immersion thermometer as a way of more accurately controlling the beer temperature. Anyone know if that probe is waterproof and/or food grade safe on the housing and probe?

Thank you for the response guys, I rally appreciate it. the thermowell is what I am looking for. Unfortunately it wont accept the Johnson probe but I'll dig around. Thanks again!

I had the same problem, just forgot about that issue as it's been a while. I never found a thermowell that would fit the johnson probe, so instead I got a replacement probe and rewired. I'll see if I can dig up the replacement part.
