Hi all,

I made a 5 gallon batch of mead with 17lbs honey and Smack Pack sweet mead yeast on March 10. Currently it is and has been crystal clear for awhile now. Bubbling is at a BARE minimum if at all already. To me it looks like I could bottle it now it's so clear. I would enjoy anyones thuoghts one this. Please send emails to [email protected]. Thank you

Ice

That seems to have cleared really fast. I brewed a braggot in early February and it has just finally finished clearing last week or so. Now the one that I added raspberry too has not cleared yet, its about half way down.

Bubbling isn't the best indicator of a complete fermentation.
Taking gravity readings is a better way to determine if it's ready to go.

Why the email address?

First...Welcome to the forum.

Second.
Take a gravity reading about 5 days apart. That will tell you where you stand on completion. They should be exactly the same. You will benefit from extended secondary aging. Don't be in too big of a hurry to bottle. Time is your friend.
