I'm thinking of trying my first all grain batch this weekend, and adapted a recipe from bierhaus15 for an english pale ale to make the gravity slightly higher, can anyone offer any feedback?

10 lbs Marris otter
1 lb crystal 60L
.5 lb biscuit malt
.5lb white wheat malt
2 oz peated malt

1.5 oz kent goldings at 60
1.5 kent goldings at 10
1 kent goldings at 2
1 kent goldings for dry hopping

I also plan on using white labs WL013

does this look good?

IMO, forget the peated malt. It doesn't really belong in an English Pale. 2oz of peated malt will make this beer pretty smoky.

Other than that, it looks pretty good. You should have a decent hop flavor. Maybe high for the style, but sounds good!

I do want a little bit of the smoke in it though, should I maybe just add one ounce?

Try it.

I should also say I am not a fan of smoked beers. I have used 0.5 ounces in a hoppy amber, and it was only faint - and good. I would say 1 oz would be present but not overpowering.

I would start with an ounce, and adjust up next time if necessary.
