Hello,
I am new to home brewing. Was introduced to by one of my good friends. Help him brew a few batch and now I am ready to do it on my own. Just ordered a kit from midwestsupplies.com and cant wait for it to arrive.

Also does anyone know where the closest home brewing store to Cape Girardeau is?
 
Can't help on a local shop, but if you need to order, Midwest or Northern Brewer would be good choices considering your location.

Hello, fellow Missourian here. Don't know of any shops on your side of the state, but this side has a few. Welcome to the boards!
 
Welcome from another SEMO guy (down in Caruthersville). Let me know if you find any good places in/around Cape, and what you think about the place you mentioned in St. Louis. I don't get that for north often, but I can always come up with an excuse.
