I am wondering if my mead is fermenting too slowly and looking for advice.

my O.G was 1.102. 3 days after first airlock activity it went down to 1.091. That was on 1/9. I measured the gravity on the 12th and it was 1.081. So it is doing about 10 points every 3days. I I've read people saying theirs did 10 points day.

I added nutrient only once after pitching. Should I add more? I haven't done regular additions. Or is there something else that I should look at or try?

Look into "staggered nutrient addition" (commonly abbreviated as SNA). There is a link to some info in the stickies. It, or at least some staggered variation, is the preferred method these days.

It doesn't need to drop ten points a day, but you don't want it to stall out later either. Is your temperature at a good level for your yeast? Did you pitch enough yeast, and were they rehydrated/started properly?
