I tried this yeast recently in my go at an American style Pilsner. The grain bill looked like this. Needless to say, I was less then impressed with the taste of this yeast.
It worked flawlessy. I decided to brew it exclusively with pilsner malt, and avoid any 6 row, corn, or rice in this beer in hopes of producing something tastey. Well color was dead on, hops dead on, yeast evidently dead on. I'm not sure what I was expecting. What I do know is, that I did make a very crispm light, drinkable beer that tasted like well.....nothing to write home about.
It's not anything I would try again, nor is this yeast. I found it very boring.
