I'm building an immersion chiller from 50' of 1/2" refrigeration tubing. I'm using a 60 qt stainless pot with an 18" diameter. I only brew 5 gallon batches now, but will probably move to 10 gallons at some point.
My question is...does it make a difference if the chiller sticks above the level in the pot when I'm doing a 5 gallon batch?
