I came across this new little device that supposedly will regulate the temperature of the water in a kettle to keep it at a certain degree. Has anyone seen this before and would it be an alternative to use for maybe keeping a constant temp in the MLT or HLT? Not realy pricey and thought it might be worth a try but thought I'd get some input first. Thanks - the link is below

It's not new and it's no longer in production. Only a few places have the remaining stocks of them. And, from what I have read they are only good for temps above 200*F so that eliminates it as a mash temp controller.

A guy at my brewclub has one and was willing to give it to me in trade for a few brews but, after looking into it I decided to not mess with it.
