A few people that have tried or wanted to try this IIPA have pm'd me for this recipe. So I guess I might as well add it to the database.

Wonderful aroma, has the hop punch to the palette that you would expect from an IIPA, without being overdone like most IIPA's you find these days. The combination of marris, victory and aromatic gives it a nice maltiness to balance the hops as to not become an assault on the palette. Slight warmth from the high alcohol, but not hot. The bitterness fades to a nice clean dry finish. Just be careful, it drinks more like an IPA and will creep up on you, IMHO.

I was shooting for a 1.098 SG, but actually hit 1.093 and finished at 1.012 FG. After 10 days in primary at 66F, I was at 1.022 and decided to go ahead and start the first cycle of dry hopping. I added Simcoe and Columbus for the first 7 days of dry hopping. After 7 days, I added Amarillo and Summit for the final 7 days. I gently rocked the better bottle every other day during the dry hop period.

I used a slurry of wlp001 for this. If you can't make a starter, two packs of S-05 will do the job.
