I'm expecting some monumental action on my next brew. I've heard I can use ferm cap in the primary (I wont be using a secondary).
Should I use it? How much should I use? And should I still use a blow of tube?

2 drops per gallon.

There are some yeasts that seem to ignore it (Belgians in particular). I use it all the time and put a blow-off on every-time. Usually I'm fine, but sometimes I'm thankful for having the tube on there.
