First year growing and I've got Centennials and Cascades right next to each other. the Centennials are going great with 4 strong bines and 3 of them are in the 5-8' range.
The Cascades have struggled all year though. I had an initial shoot that was just long enough to tie up and a few days later it shriveled and died. I've had a couple other shoots come up and one seemed pretty strong. It got to 1' or so and then it looks like the growing tip is just gone. I've got a few side shoots going at ground level, but why is this plant performing so poorly compared to the Centy's and what would cause the tips to fall off on them while the Centy's are doing fine?
