I am ready to bottle my mead. i have some yeast energizer to add, and the instructions say to apply heat but not how much, also i am going to sweeten before i bottle. is that a good idea, and should i do it when i add the energizer

Why would you add energizer right before you bottle????

Answer: you shouldnt. not only might it add some bad flavor - you don't want to re-energize your yeast when you bottle or KABLOOOEY!!! bottle bombs (or flying corks)

Use Sorbate/Sulfite to kill the yeasties, backsweeten with some more honey, then bottle.

No heat. No energizer.
