Hey guys, I've decided my next batch is going to be an American IPA since I've becoming more appreciative of hoppy beers now that I'm brewing.

My LBS has a lot of clone kits that come with DME (usually split up in two ziplock bags) and I was wondering if this style of beer would benefit from a late addition (half) of the DME?

Thx

Sure, lots of people add extract towards the end of the boil. In fact, some people only put a small amount of extract in at the beginning to help with hop utilization, and then add the remainder with ~10 minutes left, or even at flameout.
