i have a question about insulating a direct fired mash tun. has anybody tried using kaowool. the stuff used for forges, kilns and refractory furnice, and fire pruffing gun safes. it is ceramic and can withstand up 2300 deg. i planed on putting a secondry jacket around it. almost like a water heater in your house.

thanks

Kevin
