Experimental brew?

So, I was drinking some of this tasty stuff tonight:

Rare Vos (Amber Ale) - Brewery Ommegang - BeerAdvocate

and then followed up with some DFH 90 minute IIPA.. And it got me thinking. I love the taste of belgian style ales, with their fruity esters, and I love the hop aroma of the DFH 90. The logical conclusion in my inebriated state is, of course, to try to combine these into one brew :ban:

I would probably shoot for something less bitter than the 90, but keeping the dry hops.. And ferment it with some trappist yeast

I was curious of people's thoughts on this. Does anyone know of any similar experiments having been done? Please let me know if this is a horrible idea for some reason... :rockin:

Sounds like you want to brew a Belgian IPA. Never really had one, but I have seen recipes here and there.
