Well, I just transferred my first batch to the secondary and there is a bit of oil floating on top. Im not sure how it got there but thats not really a concern right now. So I was wondering if it would have any impact on anything (I'm not really to concerned at this point)?

Thanks

I think that may be fuesol alcohol. It is created usually when you ferment too high. A little is ok but will give the beer a hot taste, and possibly make hangovers worse.
