strainer into secondary?

Probably not a good idea. At this point in the game you want to expose your beer to as little oxygen as possible. Syphoning to allow a gentle flow into the secondary vessel is what you'll need.
 
No....hopefully you aren't pouring you beer into the secondary, but are racking with a siphon or autosiphon instead.

Using a strainer will introduce un-needed oxygen into the beer, and will result in a cardboard taste.

Besides by carefully racking you leave all the gunk at the bottom of your fermenter behind.
