So I was getting my grains and somehow added an extra pound of Munich malt to my grain bill. What style of beer would you label this:

8.5# Pilsner malt
1.5# munich malt
.25# light german crystal malt - 10L
.25# melanoiden malt

I have Pearle and Saaz hops that can be added in any amount and time.

Help me save this brew. It will be my first lager.

I was thinking of using the pearle as the bittering hop and the saaz for flavoring and aroma.

I can't figure out if this would make a better Bohemian Pils of a Helles. Which ever category the grain bill fits into will determine how I hop the beer.

Helles should be 100% Pilsner malt, so I would shoot for the Bo Pils target.

Well, what you have there is the grain bill for a Dortmunder Export. Actually, it's pretty close to my Dortmunder Export recipe. Same base grain, yeast, a touch of Munich, noble hops, I even use a little Melanoiden in mine. Yes sir, that's a nice Dormunder Export recipe if you ask me.

Thanks for the replies. I will look up the guidelines for the Dortmunder Export. Can you tell me of a commercial example?
