PBW is fantastic! I had some stuff on the inside of the brew kettle that oxyclean and hot vinegar didn't touch. One of the guys at NB told me PBW would take of of it unless it was "other worldly". Sure enough after a good soak it looked like new, well worth the money.

What is a good non-foaming cleanser to put through a CIP ball?

I use hot PBW, SaniClean and acid cleaner #5 to keep the SS tanks shiny.
All made by FifeStar.
SaniClean is the non foaming version of StarSan.

Cheers,

I use generic oxyclean in my CIP in my brewhemoth. It takes even the nastiest crud ring off and makes it nice and shiny clean. I follow it up with Star San.
