I've been brewing a little over two years, and kegging for all but two batches of that. Yesterday, I went to disconnect the blown cider keg (and the other kegs) and clean the lines with BLC. I've never de-pressurized my kegs before pulling off the liquid post. I will be in the future. I ended up with a face full (and ceiling full) of the dregs from the cider keg.
 
Sometimes the poppet does stick. I always de pressurize before unhooking.
