I bought a B3 blonde ale kit with following back in Aug 09 maybe Sept 09:

7lb ultarlight LME

.5 lb crystal 15L

1oz willamette hps

dry yeast safale 2 packs

all items kept in a pantry little cooler then room temp. So the question is will this be a good drinkable beer or should i throw out anything and make something from the leftovers. Yes it will make beer but good drinkable beer is the question? thanks ahead of time, jokes start now. (I hope to brew tomorrow finally):D

If everything was sealed and stored in a dry place, I'd use it. It's not even a year old, I think it will be fine. Since it's dry yeast from a top provider, I wouldn't even worry about that. Of course, it's just IMHO.

I'm in a similar situation. I moved last year and am just getting back into brewing. I have a B3 Stout kit that is over a year old. I bought some new yeast and will brew it next week. I figure that it is worth a shot. If it turns out bad, it only cost me a packet of yeast...

cant hurt, worst case tell your new freinds or neighbord that you just started brewing and give them some bottles of aged porter.
