It's been about a week and a half since I bottled my beer. Everyone told me to keep me first beer simple, but I thought I'd try something fun. I made a Coffee milk stout with french oak. Today was my first glass. I tried at room temperature and it tasted great! Very balanced flavor. Roasty and hoppy, but not too hoppy as the lactose seemed to smooth out the beer. It had a very clean taste and left some great lacing on my glass. I'm excited that my first beer didn't bomb. My next batch will be an Apple Pale Ale.

Awesome....congrats on your success! Now....wait til that beer conditions even longer.......especially a stout....gets better with age.

Wow...sounds like an adventurous first brew. I did an extract kit with specialty grains and 4 types of hops! let us know how it turns out!:mug:
