That depends entirely on the type of plastic. In any case, I wouldn't recommend it. Why are you leaving your spoon in the wort boil anyway? It's ok to take it out and set it aside, just make sure you boil it for the last 10-15 minutes if you plan on using it with your cooled wort (i.e. for stirring wort while using an immersion chiller, etc).
