Has anyone ever taken liberty with an altbier recipe and added anything outside the norm to give it a twist? I've brewed a Dusseldorf style alt before and loved it, but I was looking to do a similar recipe, but add something to it this time. Perhaps playing but the dry bitterness a bit more or perhaps slightly enhancing the sublte, fruity flavors.
