I am thinking about a recipe using Hefe yeast and liquorice tea. This is one of those ideas that once into my head I can't seem to shake but I can't tell if its a tasty beer or not. Basically I have some ingredients lying around and I want to use them, I had this idea and I wanted to see what other people think. This is what my recipe looks like and its mostly based off what I have.

9# LME
Steeping grains (whatever I have)
wyeast hefe yeast
hops (whatever I have in the freezer I know it includes fuggles)
Orange zest
Coriander (I don't know how much to use or if it should be whole or ground)
Liquorice tea
table sugar

I bet the licorice flavor will linger in any plastic/rubber it touches. I think this is what they mean by the old saying that "Once you go black..."

Got a friend that did a small amount of "brewer's licorice" (hard candy-like stick) in a porter, and then a few months later did a powdered licorice root in another porter. As to a hefe... um... No clue. Srry.
