I am preparing to build a jockey box and had some questions for the group.

I have a 40 qt cooler that has been repurposed. It will have two taps.

I have a bunch of 3/16 line. I also have about 20' of 3/8 copper.

I have read some articles that indicate to start with a 6' piece of 3/16 and trim as needed.

So, should I attempt to incorporate a cooling coil out of the copper? How long ?

don't use copper for beer/soda after carbonation!!! when co2 is added to a liquid it makes carbonic acid and it will eat the copper away and dissolve it into your beer/soda. use only SS in your cooling coils, this is why the coils are usually rather long SS has less heat transfer capability than copper.

Sorry for the hijack.. but if you have a 25' coil.. how much tubing to the keg should you have? Using 3/8" now..
