anyone have a good recipe for Jamaican style ginger beer the kind that has that sharp ginger bite not ginger ale?I use kegs and co2 carb if that helps

sorry for this question but is ginger beer an alcoholic beverage I'm not sure of the difference from ginger ale but I've made a few recipes with ginger but not sure if I can help I'm new to this

no it's not alcoholic it''s just a clean sharp tasting ginger ale

thanks
well I made a sharp tasting ginger ale I don't know if it's what you want but
I took a piece of fresh ginger root threw it in a food processor and turned it into a pulp
I'll apologize for the measurements now cause most things I don't measure
about a half cup of the ginger pulp
1 cup of corn syrup
1 cup of sugar
half teaspoon of citric acid ( I used a tablespoon the first time and my tongue was not happy)
2 cups water

put it all in a pot and simmer til it thickens (about an hour)

next I used a 2 liter bottle and filled it 3/4 full with water then I added the syrup (not all of it) until I was satisfied with the taste

and finally I force carbed it with the homemade carb cap and about 50 psi
shook it up added more carb at 50 psi put it in the fridge for a few hours then gave it another shot of co2 (@ 50 psi) then let it sit over night
next day poured a glass good taste good carb
