I had some DME boil over on me a little over a week ago. I was told in another post that citric acid would clean it up. My stove top is electric glass/some other crazy material. I was wondering if anyone knows where to get citric acid easily, such as a cleaning product having a big amount of it and also if it would damage the glass?

Anyone? Noonan?

Lemons. There are some commercial cleaners that are citric acid based I believe. Just dont use it on your equipment. I dont believe lemons would cause much damage, citric acid is a fairly mild organic acid. Its in a lot of stuff.

Unless you're at crazy high concentrations, citric acid won't do anything to the surface. And I don't see a household cleaner or raw lemons getting up to 8+ molar.

Worst case: blame the dog.
