Ive heard all the different opinions on whether bubble rate in the air lock is a good estimation of fermentation, but I am confused as to why I see bubbles(more than when first closed up) but they seem to just sit there on the side of the airlock. Nothing seems to be coming out. The yeast was pitched and sealed up 5 days ago tonight. Should I be concerned about this or just wait a couple more days to see whats inside. How do I know if I should even bother bottling?

Just give it another 5 days or so before you do anything. Then you can check the gravity and see if it is done. If it were me I would wait another 2 1/2 weeks before I did anything.
