how do you filter your wort going into the shirron?
just got my shirron and i am a little paranoid about clogging it with hops/hot break.
i use a keg with a ball valve for my boilings

Try one of these.

I use a counterflow chiller so it would be a little different than what I do. The last 20 min. of the boil I recirculate thru my counter flow and into one of these bags. I set it up like several other do with the PVC coupler. I use one of these bags instead of the paint strainer bag. I have found the paint strainer bags are to coarse. These bags will filter out the hot and cold break along with the hops.

I hope this helped some.

The hot break isn't anything to worry about. You definitely need to filter the hops, though. I use a hanging fine grain nylon (or paint strainer) bag. I haven't had any problems.
