i had bad luck with my autosiphon. first use i attempted to sanitize it in boiling water.. (before i found out starsan existed) and the outer tube promptly warped. than not knowing that, i plunged and snapped the cane. i'm going to try the 3tee idea. thanks for pointing me to it.
 
the easy way to siphon is fill a plastic tube about 4 feet long X 1/2" with hot water.
1) Pinch the hose off on both ends of the water.
2) Elevate Carboy over keg or seconday
3) realease the water at the bottom into a bowl or somethin till the beer starts flowing, transfer to whatever.
cheap and easy siphon. no moving parts.
I use a rack and fill kit tube and hose meant for bottling.:tank:
