I recently went to a local home brewing supplier and they were out of most of the pellet hops for the recipes I wanted. So for one recipe I will be doing half leaf and half pellet and the other will be two different doses of leaf. Are there any differences in using leaf over pellet? Any thing at all that needs to be taken it to consideration like amounts or anyhting like that? I have only used pellet hops so far and have no experience with the leaf.

Leaf will absorb some of your wort, so you might want to brew a larger batch to account for the loss or keep the leaf in a large paint strainer bag and squeeze them at the end of boil to get most of the trapped liquid out. Brewing software should help account for the sometimes mentioned utilization difference between the two kinds of hops.
