So I need a little help with a chocolate stout that I want to make. I want it to be bigger, higher ABV stout. Not very sweet and that can do well with some good long aging. Any ideas for a good recipe? The chocolate is something that I think I could just add to a good stout. Thanks.

OK, here you go, this will be awesome. You're pants will burst into flame when you taste this:

OG 1.070
IBU 50

75 % maris otter
10 % roasted barley (the 500 L stuff)
10% crystal 80
5% chocolate malt

galena hops to 50 ibu at 60 minutes

add 16 oz of the darkest chocolate (highest cacao%) you can find chocolate bars to the mash.
mash at 150 for 60 minutes

add 8 oz. cocoa powder with 5 minutes left in the boil

add pure chocolate extract to taste at bottling/kegging.

go forth and brew!

EDIT: oh yeah, you gotta use wlp007 dry english ale yeast with a big starter.
