Does it matter what kind of DME I use for a starter?

I am planning on brewing a wheat beer. I bought wheat DME. Did I get the right stuff or do I need to get a different kind?
 
That will work fine for a starter. You wouldn't want to use a dark extract for a starter in a wheat beer, but it's normally OK to use lighter extracts for starters in dark beers. I keep light or extra light DME on hand for yeast starters and I use them in whatever I need them for...
 
thanks for the advice. I assumed that it would be okay (wheat for starter in a wheat beer...)
