Here's how I prime my pump. I also tried malt conditioning for the first time and show you the results. Thanks Kaiser and The Pol for bringing this technique to my attention long before BYO did.

FWIW, I just let my grain sit for 10-15 minutes when I condition it. So far, so good.

I just got my BYO tonight and read that article.
The article mentions it could also help lower astringency extraction.
