Want to enter all grain brewing. Mostly plan to do 5 gallon batch IPA's. Starting gravity 1.060 or less. Please advise as to what size cooler would be best.
 
Go with a 10g Rubbermaid Cooler. Easy to convert, holds temps, and relatively cheap.
 
Thanks for the chart and info 509inc. Lowes has a 48 qt Ice Cube for $20 right now. I think I will go for it instead of the 5 gallon Rubbermaid that I can get for the same price. It sounds like the 48 quart Cube will do 5 gal IPA's just fine and will provide me with the option to go to higher gravity beers also. I was afraid that 48 qts might be too large for 5 gal IPA's. With the cube being a taller cooler, it seems that the grain bed will be thick enough to function properly for me.
