So my older bro who was home brewing when it was still called a microbrew (but has since hung it up) is turning the big 5-0 this year and is a big fig fan. Typically he likes a heavy hop wallop, but also is a fig maniac. I was thinking of trying to incorporate figs into a simple gold ale (given the gold anniversary). Most of the recipes online are for Saisons, dubbels, bdsa's, etc...any recipe designers have any thoughts? Haven't tried designing my owner cope before, but I do have until late April. Maybe try doing a simple gold ale and pick up some fig purée for the test batch? Any thoughts would be appreciated!
