I'm brewing 11.25 lbs of grain for 60 minutes. My sparge Calc is telling me to mash w 3.5 gal at 163 deg and sparge 4.8 gal at 170. https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f68/deception-cream-stout-141483/ It doesn't mention any preboil so I'm going to go with 6.5

If you're batch sparging, drain the tun and measure how much wort you gathered. Add the difference between that and your pre-boil volume to the MLT. The sparge volume number is only important in knowing how much water to have available. Go a couple of gallons high to be sure you have enough.
