Tasting Notes
Great summertime beer modeled after Estes Park Brewery\'s Raspberry Wheat offering.
Ingredients:
6.0 lbs US 2-Row Malt
3.0 lbs US White Wheat Malt
.5 lbs US Caramel 40L Malt
1 oz UK Challenger - 30 min. from end
1 oz US Willamette - 10 min. from end
4 oz. Raspberry Extract

Schedule:
Mash @ 153 for 60 mins

I've never brewed with fresh raspberries, so I don't have a point of reference, but...

I brewed this for a party and everyone loved it! The keg was empty in a few hours. The flavor wasn't overpowering and was just enough to get the idea across. For the ease of use alone ...i would definitely use extract again. Also, believe it or not, Estes Park Brewery's website says they actually use extract as well.

Of course, I may change my mind if i ever get a taste of the real stuff! :mug:
