A stupid error had to happen eventually!:drunk:

So I'm onto my 3rd batch. Amber ale and I'm transfering my beer into my bottling bucket when I realized I didn't but the black cap at the end of the syphon at the bottom of the fermenter. I saw it about 3/4 of the way into it.. gladly it wasn't all the way to the bottom. It took it out and installed it to finish the job.

is it a big issue ? My beer seemed more cloudy in the bucket than the previous 2 batches.

Thanks

Ern

Ive done that... I just let my bottling bucket sit a few days more.. wait for it to drop to the bottom again, and re siphon. That is if you didnt add your bottling sugars :)

You may have a bit more sediment at the bottom of your bottles, but it shouldn't be a biggie. Definitely chill your beer for a good 48 hours before pouring. As with any homebrew, pour slow and steady, and you should be A-OK.
