I am still hunting for a mini keg system that I can hook to my standard co2 fridge system, has anyone used this one? I can make my own but this might not be a bad idea, can use it portable and looks like I can easily convert to a standard system.

Ive just confirmed it with a customer representative. purchasing the edgestar mini kegerator:

and the Mini Keg Accessory kit:

will result in you being able to charge and tap a standard 5L mini keg:

can't wait to try this! I have been sticking to brewing fruit wines and ciders so long because I had no reasonable way of carbonating (12oz bottles are not reasonable to me) until now. I'll be sure to make a post once I get it going...

This is a pretty awesome idea. Did you order all these things up or are still waiting?

I ended up getting an Avanti Mini pub instead, because supposedly it was all set up to do what I needed without a conversion kit. The problem is that the CO2 cartridges just aren't enough to dispense a full mini keg of homebrew. I talked to a gas distributor about converting the thing to hook up to a conventional CO2 tank, and they said it was feasible, I just havent had the time or money to get it going. As it is, I have been able to dispense directly from the mini kegs with decent results, which I guess is part of the problem, not enough incentive to get this thing running. Hopefully this fall I can get it together because I am sick of looking at this giant paperweight on my kitchen counter...
