Please post any links, info, part numbers, suppliers, or whatever you have for kegging, here, so we can consolidate our resources and help eliminate redundant threads and posts. Searches for 'Kegging' provide endless results without being able to be specific, but how do you ask what you don't know?

I've got some more but I'm tired and I'm gonna drink beer now.

I'm just getting into kegging and one of the guys in my local homebrew club pointed me to this website for buying CO2 tanks, regulators, parts, etc. The prices are much better than my local welding supply shop and since they have multiple distribution points across the country, deliveries are pretty quick. I ordered yesterday and should receive my tank by Friday.

Thought I would add my experience to this sticky. Do not order your keg supplies from The Beverage Factory (www.beveragefactory.com). They completely jacked my order. I recieved an email conformation when my order was placed saying everything was ready to ship. A week later after no delivery, I call and find out that one item was backordered and they never told me about it. I told them to drop the backordered item and to upgrade my shipping at their expense. They refused. And then I find out that the ball lock couplers for the liquid side which were advertised as having 3/16 barbs actually have 1/4 flare fittings. They told me "Its ok, it will still fit a 3/16 hose. Just run the tube under hot water to sofen it up". Thats just crappy business. Stay away from the Beverage Factory!

Just recently got into kegging, but my buddy has a huge converted chest freezer and i helped him set it up, it holds about 8 corneys or commercial 5gal kegs.
He got everything he needed fromRapids Wholesale.com. They have great prices if you buy bulk. Great customer service too!! Also you can request a free catalog that has Just beer equipment.

I did a disassembly/parts list for corny kegs for my local club, I can't attach a large enough PDF so here's a JPG instead.

I'd like to add my experience ordering a keg setup from kegconnection.com. Everyone I spoke to was extremely patient and helpful with my questions and with their suggestions on what I should need. I ended up placing an order around noon on Friday, and it was ready for pickup within a few hours. I had asked a friend to pick up the kit for me (he was driving from Austin to Houston that day, and San Marcos isn't too far away), but traffic was bad and they stayed open past 6pm on a Friday evening for him! Their pricing seems quite good, but their outstanding customer service is why I recommend them.

i second kegconnection.com ordered on line delivered to my michigan front door three days later. i also second CHI company for corny's there prices seem to be the best for any quantity.

Just purchased my setup a week ago they sent is out fast, customer service was helpful and there equipment is good quality. I recommend using them for your keging needs.

Keezer builds are becoming more popular than I've ever witnessed. Something needs to be done about it.

This sticky does not seem to have anything about keezers build, keezer collars, keezer coffins, or anything keezer-related.

I suggest a new sticky for keezers or a new (very big) section in this sticky for keezers.

EdWort's sticky should be within the new sticky (or the new section in this sticky).

I also suggest adding shroomz's writeup for keezer collar cooling.

you don't need to post 'sub' to a thread to subscribe. There's a button at the top that can do it.

I know that, but sometimes it is easier to type sub and send. Except that now we have spent much more time discussing it and lost all our efficiency. Oh well.

Forgive me if I'm in the wrong place, this is my first attempt to use the forums as a member!

My question is about temperature. I have 2 corny kegs of beer in my converted chest freezer and my fluid (sensor in jug of water) temp is naturally different than my keezer (air) temp. Just to throw out sort of arbitrary numbers let's say my fluid is at 48 deg F right now while the air is at 30 deg F. Is my goal to get the fluid temp to 38 deg and not worry about the air being freezing?

More info, I just put the 2 kegs in yesterday. Do I just need to give it more time before I concern myself with the temp disparity?

Thanks everyone.

Yes.

It can take a couple of days to chill ten gallons. Give it more time...

Cheers!

Excellent! Thanks everyone. Used three thermometers, two in fluid (STC-1000 probe and stick) and one in the air. It was fun watching everything equalize and balance out. Fluid is staying at 38 deg while air is all over the place.

We couldn't wait 3 much less 5 days to test it all out.....the beer is wonderful and I look forward to it getting better.

Now I need to stay motivated and get to work on the keeper coffin.

Thanks. Just getting into kegging and was wondering best way to clean a keg, without scratching. Thought I'd just use a microfiber cloth with PBW water. Do you know if you can scratch a keg using a corny keg brush?

I really doubt it would scratch. I soak mine in OxiClean. Depends on how crusty they are.

I've began using 1/6 bbl kegs and have boogered up a few of the spiral clips during removal. Does anyone have a source or part number for replacements? Not the snap/e-clips that require special pliers, I'm looking for OEM style.

Thank you!

I found this sticky extremely helpful...lots of links to follow. If I may, I found several bad links as I was reading through all the info over the last several days. Here is a list of bad links broken down by each section like you have above:

Unfortunately, in the last 12 years links have expired, companies have come and gone, new equipment has come out and I think it's time to retire this sticky.

If anybody feels like writing a new one, we'd be much obliged but it does take time and effort to do that so please just let me know if you'd like to help out with it.
