I brewed my first lager this past weekend. If needed would I do the D rest in my primary before transferring to my secondary carboy or do I transfer it to my secondary and then do the D rest?

Do the d-rest right before you transfer to your secondary. Let your primary sit at room temperature for 24 to 48 hours then transfer to secondary. Let it ferment at 33 to 38 degree temps for a few months.

Clarification: there will be no fermentation while lagering...just aging.
