I have leftover whole hops from my first batch. I would like to store the hops by putting them in mason jars and purging with CO2. Anyone else do this or recommend it? I would store the jars in the freezer. Thanks for the advice.

Sounds like it would work. I sometimes purge wine bottles with CO2 before recorking and the wine has stayed good for months. Same should work with hops. As long as they're in the freezer, they should be good.

I keep my hops (pellets though...) in ziplock bags and I roll the air out of them as best I can. Haven't had a problem yet.
