Batch# 178, but first time going really big w/ all grain (no extract or sugars.)
Wheatwine w/ over 60% huskless grains.
Mashed in with 30lbs of grain plus one pound rice hulls.
Two lauters @ 4 gallons each.
Hoping for 5 1/2 gallons of wort after long boil.

18 lbs Malted Wheat
9.9 lbs Pilsner
2.1 lbs Flaked Oats
Belma Hops
Pacman Yeast

Insanity or what?
So many thing to go wrong.
I need a beer to calm my nerves!

Just talking to myself here, but . . .
WeeeYou, that was the slowest running I've ever had.
Between an extra long step mash, the trickle of a lauter and a long boil,
this is going to be a long night.

The good news.
Because of the big grain bill and small amount of liquor, I was only figuring for 50% pre-boil efficiency, but got 62%.
If I get the boil-off expected this will be about a 1.120 beer.

Damn! 1:00 in the morning and I just finished cleaning up.
Couldn't bear to toss good grain.
Got 3 gallons of partigyled wort into another fermenter.
Main wort @ 1.122
Partigyle @ 1.050
Good day!

This thread should be in drunken ramblings.
I'm drunk and I'm rambling to myself.
