I just bought a turkey fryer and will be doing some full boil extract brews. Most kits, like AHB Nipper IPA which I brewed last week, specify boiling half and then topping up. Will doing a full boil rather than a half boil affect the amount of hops needed to attain the recipe's IBU?

You should get better utilization out of your full boil. That means you need less hops to get the same IBUs. It isn't exactly half that you need (I think), but you probably do want to cut the hops some. Beersmith is pretty good for doing IBU estimation/calculation.

Also, the boil volume is what affects the isomerization of alpha acid in the hops (bittering) but should not affect utilization of aroma hops.
