First...wow!
I do enjoy DFH, I think they make some great beers and are a bit different than many other breweries, and they add a nice refreshing touch to the American craft brew industry IMO. Anyway, after hearing much about this beer, both good and bad, I finally found a 4-pack of it and brought it home.
But, wow! Rich, malty, full of delicious sweet chocolate flavors and a nice flavor of vanilla and wood, balanced with a subtle hint of roasted grains. Dark body with a thick head, lots of fruity aromas and a nice alcoholic aroma and warming sensation on the way down.
Try it out if you haven't already! One of the 'best' American beers out there now!
