Can anyone recommend a pale ale recipe that would result in a taste similar to Sierra Nevada pale ale? This would be my 4th batch since starting homebrewing and I'm looking to get creative.

Thanks & Happy New Year

I have a copy of clone brews. I will check when I get home and post it for you if you dont find it.

If you need a extract version here it is, I have not tasted it yet, as it has one more week in the primary, but it smells awsome.

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale Clone
3 gallon boil
5 gallon Batch
target og 1.053

Yeast: White Labs WLP001 California Ale ( I used Wyeast american ale)

Ive got good news for you.I looked everywhere for the perfect clone and finally found it.It comes directly from the sn brewmaster. Its like the colonel giving out the kfc recipe.Im drinking it as i write and its dead on!google nothernbrewerforum and in the search bar type in "need help breaking down a recipe".Its in an extract form with detailed brewing instructions. If your looking for all grain search for beerfan on this or other forums,he's the original guy who post this recipe.YOU WONT BE DISSAPOINTED WITH THIS RECIPE!!!

Just bottled this one Sunday. Tasted pretty good all flat and green. Pretty hoppy, but that will fade with the conditioning. Color looked pretty good. I will report back in three weeks as to how it conditioned. One note. I did not use a secondary, just left it in the primary for four weeks to let the yeasties do what they do best. :mug:
