Any 1 barrel (bbl) electric brewers here?

Over the years on other websites/forums I've heard that some have done 1 bbl (31 gallon) setups with a single 5500W element and they're able to maintain a boil but I can't find the links when searching now.

With one 5500W element in the Hot Liquor tank, it would not be an issue other than ramp times to heat up the water. My concern would be maintaining a good vigorous boil in the Boil Kettle with 'only' one 5500W element.

I would imagine that having two 5500W elements (11000W total) or two 4500W elements (9000W) in both the Boil Kettle and Hot Liquor Tank would be better but having never tried I don't know how much better.

Anyone here tried?
